Our goat milk soaps are handcrafted with goat milk from local farms. Full of vitamins and nutrients, goat milk is fabulous for your skin. Read more about the other ingredients we put in each soap below.

We buy fresh milk from local farmers we met through years of raising our own dairy goats. Goat milk is great for anyone with dry, sensitive skin. It’s chalk full of vitamins, minerals, and proteins, especially vitamin A. It also has alpha hydroxy acids, which break down the bonds between dead skin cells replenishing them with young, vibrant cells. As if that wasn’t enough, the fat molecules in milk make soaps extra moisturizing.
Olive oil has been known for its skin-nourishing properties since ancient times. Soothing and mild, it is an antioxidant containing vitamin E, which enables new cell generation and slows down the spread of wrinkles. It’s recommended for skin conditions like dry or itchy skin.
Coconut oil is known as a “super oil” that’s full of vitamin E, works as a terrific moisturizer, and contains fatty acids that are wonderful for your skin.
Rich in vitamin E, which is an antioxidant, palm oil fights skin-damaging free radicals. It also has vitamin A and healthy, fatty acids. However, the main reason we use palm oil in our soaps is that it hardens them and makes them longer lasting. This helps people consume less and spend less.
We proudly source our palm oil from a member of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO). Even though our soaps only contain a small amount of palm oil (about 1/3 oz. per bar), we want to do right by the countries we source it from, the workers who harvest it, and the planet we all share. As more and more companies use sustainably sourced palm oil, it encourages other plantations to adapt sustainable practices, cease deforestation, and provide fair working conditions.
ESSENTIAL OILS & COSMETIC FRAGRANCE OILS
Whenever possible, we create our scents from pure essential oils. Essential oils are 100% natural and come from herbs or fruit, usually extracted through steam distillation. Our products scented with essential oils are specially marked. When essential oils are unavailable for a scent (or when sandalwood essential oil costs $1200/lb), we use cosmetic fragrance oils. After lots of searching, experiments, and feedback, our goal is to make products that smell just like the real thing. We know we’ve succeeded when people pick up our lilac goat milk soap and exclaim, “It’s just like real lilacs!”
OATMEAL AND CRANBERRY SEEDS
Some of our soaps have ground oatmeal and/or cranberry seeds added for gentle exfoliation. Exfoliation is the process of removing dead skin cells using slight abrasion. It feels luxurious and leaves your skin young and smooth.
All true soap is made using sodium hydroxide. At the end of the soap making process, there is no sodium hydroxide left in the soap because a chemical reaction occurs between the sodium hydroxide and the oil molecules, which makes them into soap and glycerin. The naturally produced glycerin is wonderful for your skin. Soap without sodium hydroxide is a detergent and can dry out or irritate your skin.
That’s all! Enjoy!
